I am amazed at all the embroidery my Grandmother (Lily Fricker) created for her home. She was a great needlewoman and knitter. I seem to have quite a collection of her embroidery, mainly table linen. this is a detail from a nightdress case. I love the fresh Spring colours. See those little blue flowers...they are made up of dozens of French Knots (for those of you with an embroidery repertoire) Looking at this I am inspired to take up the needle again, but don't hold your breath waiting to see the results.
